Today Stoke Ferry villagers, young and old, came out in some force on a rainy, blustery Sunday to clean up our village.  Organised by Donna Stocking via the Stoke Ferry Marketplace on Facebook we quickly sorted ourselves into workparties and, over two hours, we made a huge dent into the litter accumulated on the Village Common, Bridge Road, the High Street, etc. Very useful indeed as the recent Storm Doris, which was classed as a weather bomb, visited us on the same day as our village rubbish collection took place…hence wheelie-bins were overturned and much rubbish as scattered, literally, to the four winds.

As you can see in the images below a mass of rubbish was collected and deposited for Council collection at Bonnett’s Ironmongers.
